The Basics

iLok is a copy protection method used by many of our brands.

It has 3 types of activations, iLok USB, iLok Machine, and iLok Cloud.

Different brands/products will offer different iLok methods. iLok USB is always an option, but the availability of iLok Cloud and iLok Machine methods is at the discretion of the software developer.

iLok Account

For all iLok protected products, you will need an iLok account. You can create one for free here: ilok.com/#!registration

iLok License Manager

To manage your iLok licenses, there is a dedicated app called iLok License Manager. This app is used to register, activate, and move your licenses between locations.

iLok USB Key

iLok USB

This activation is stored on an iLok 2 or 3 USB key.

It is the best option for portability, if you frequently move between multiple machines, and offline use.

iLok Machine ID

Machine ID

This activation is stored locally on your computer.

While this is a convenient way to work offline, and does not require the additional cost of an iLok USB, there is the risk of a license being lost in the case of a drive failure.

This option also requires extra care when you upgrade to a new computer, the license(s) must be deactivated on your old machine first to ensure you do not lose them.

iLok Cloud

iLok Cloud

This activation is based online, and requires a "cloud session" using the iLok License Manager.

It requires an active internet connection for the entire time you use the plugin(s).

RoomPack 2 includes more than 24,000 individual impulse responses for Vienna MIR Pro / MIR Pro 24. It offers the famed Teldex recording hall in Berlin, three recording studios of the "ORF Funkhaus", the public radio broadcasting building of the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF) in Vienna, as well as two rooms of Recording Studio Weiler, an Austrian high-end recording facility (formerly known as "Little America" of legendary producer Peter Wolf).

Vienna MIR 3D RoomPack 3 - "Mystic Spaces"

RoomPack 3 offers more than 4,200 impulse responses of exceptional churches for Vienna MIR Pro / MIR Pro 24. The outstanding acoustics of the "Steinhofkirche", one of Vienna’s famous Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) landmarks as well as the Late Gothic pilgrimage church "Maria Strassengel" provide the perfect ambience for epic, sacred or meditative compositions.

Vienna MIR 3D RoomPack 4 - "The Sage Gateshead"

RoomPack 4 is dedicated to "The Sage Gateshead", the UK's landmark building in the northeast of England. Its two large concert spaces and the Northern Rock Foundation Hall (a smaller performance and rehearsal hall) have been captured with more than 14,000 impulse responses for Vienna MIR Pro / MIR Pro 24.

Vienna MIR 3D RoomPack 5 - "Pernegg Monastery"

RoomPack 5 features the outstanding acoustics of the late gothic monastery church in Pernegg, Austria, that was built in the early 1500s. Nearly 5,000 impulse responses have been recorded from four different microphone positions, ready-to-use for Vienna MIR Pro / MIR Pro 24.

Vienna MIR 3D RoomPack 6 - "Synchron Stage Vienna"

RoomPack 6 includes 6,000 Impulse Responses of our revitalized Synchron Stage Vienna. This 540 m2 (5,813 sq.ft.) scoring stage is large enough to accommodate a 130-piece orchestra and stands out with its excellent acoustics. Since its official opening in summer 2016, Synchron Stage Vienna hosted film music recordings for international clients, such as Hans Zimmer, Rupert Gregson-Williams, Lorne Balfe, Sven Faulconer, Cheng Yuan, Marius Ruhland, and Ralf Wengenmayr. Productions include scores for Inferno, The Crown, Lego Batman, Ghost in the Shell, Genius, in addition to several video games, commercials, classical recordings, and other projects.
