VSL Studio Overdrive
Electric Guitar Virtual Instrument
Ready to Rock
Overdrive features recordings of a legendary Steve Vai signature seven string guitar played through a distorted tube amp, implemented for playing on the keyboard.
The instrument was recorded at our renowned Silent Stage and includes everything you need to make some noise, from power chords to legatos, hammer-ons/pull-offs, scale runs, scratches, e-bow and feedback fun.
Electric
Overdrive's distorted tube sound recordings come from hand-picked equipment: a Steve Vai signature seven-string guitar, played through a Brunetti XL II R-EVO amp head and a Marshall 1960TV 4x12" cabinet, perfectly fit for providing you with a completely real tube sound performance.
Power Up
Along with various short and sustained notes, power chords, slides, hammer-ons, pull-offs, picked notes, and more, you get loads of effect samples like octave runs, feedbacks, scratches, and e-bowed notes - for a smooth, fat sound and unbelievably realistic performances.
All notes start at B0, extending the range of a standard guitar down a 4th.
