VSL Studio Special Woodwinds: Flute Ensemble
Flute Virtual Instrument
All Together Now
This flute ensemble of three players is one of our acclaimed woodwind ensembles.
It was recorded in the relatively dry and controlled environment of our second studio, the Silent Stage, and offers all common articulations.
Features
- Recorded at Silent Stage
- Short and long notes, legato, dynamics, trills, repetitions, runs, clusters
- Mixer Presets for authentic placement at Synchron Stage Vienna
- Switch off internal reverb for placement in any virtual acoustic environment
Ease of Use
The predecessor of the modern concert flute had no keys, and was widely used until the baroque era, when composers began to employ it as a solo instrument.
The modern flute is much "easier" to play as it does not require constant adjustment of its tone.
Flutes were not among the foremost instruments during the romantic era, but have made a comeback in contemporary music.
The materials flutes are made of vary widely from brass to platinum.
Perfect Balance
The ensemble with three well-rehearsed musicians playing in unison offers the ideal solution for creating the perfect balance between strings, brass, and woodwinds in large orchestras, without risking that one of the instruments stands out as a solo instrument.
Sampling
The library features a full set of articulations, offering various short and long notes, legato, crescendos and diminuendos, fp, sfz, sffz, trills, repetitions, clusters.
Recording the samples relatively dry at the Silent Stage makes it possible to place them on your virtual stage and in the stereo field wherever you like, but also enables you to integrate them with our Synchron Series by using the internal convolution reverb of our very own Synchron Stage Vienna.
