Out of it have come numerous offshoots, of which post-punk is one that has firmly cemented itself over the past decades.

Keeping the raw aesthetic with drums, guitar and bass at the core, it put experimentation front and center, gave synths an integral role and pushed punk into new, melodic and uncharted territory.
