The phenomenon of 12-string basses first surfaced in the seventies and gained further prominence during the 1980s when popularized by several notable players.

Since then, it's earned somewhat of a cult status and etched its mark on a number of genres.

In this EBX, we've carefully captured a pristine, modern-day instrument and sprinkled in presets and MIDI performances that'll give you a total package for use in virtually any style imaginable.

If you're after a unique bass sound that chimes and screams of rattling strings at the same time as it's earthshakingly heavy and harmonically complex, this is the next stop on your EZbass journey.

With its noticeably rich but bell and almost harp-like sound, the unique tone of a 12-string bass goes way beyond the conventional.

Tuned like a regular four-string bass (E-A-D-G), but with each string accompanied by two individual octave strings, it produces a multi-textured sound brimming with bright and shimmering overtones that still have the traditional thunderous low-end roar of a regular bass.

In addition to the instrument itself, this EBX also includes a basic collection of basslines as well as a selection of mix-ready presets.

Spanning anything from the absolutely bare-bones and basic to involving amps, modulation and various effects, the presets were designed to bring you the utmost width this bass can offer.

As a bonus, each preset also offers a layer of an FM synth, allowing you to seamlessly blend in a texture of classic synth bass to further boost the low end of your tone.
