Spitfire Audio Albion Loegria

Orchestral Library for Kontakt Player

Beautiful Chamber-Sized Composer Tools

A classic in the Spitfire catalogue, an all-in-one composer tool designed to inspire and create beautiful, detailed music.

This volume encompasses an expertly sampled chamber-sized orchestra, featuring strings, woods, brass and cinematic drums, alongside eclectic loops and an inspiring organic synth.

The perfect starting point for independent films, period dramas, or more cerebral and intimate music: Recorded at the legendary AIR Studios, Lyndhurst Hall, Albion Loegria is a one-stop-shop for media composers, students wanting to break into media music, or the building blocks for a fine orchestral setup.

Albion Orchestra: Loegria Sessions

Captured at AIR Studios, Lyndhurst Hall, through the finest and rarest vintage valve and ribbon microphones onto 2" tape.

Every patch is available, with four way mic control and all shorts patches work with the enriching Ostinatum feature. We have a mixture of true legato, longs, and shorts patches.

The strings sound set has been captured as High and Low Ensembles.

With strings that concentrate on an array of comprehensive, extended techniques (in addition to its standard, long, short and legato sets); the much called for tremolando patches, trills, harmonics, flautando (a favourite for many of Spitfire users), light col legno and a variety of shorts patches.

With our Loegria Chamber Band, we have created a library that has detail and richness not found in other chamber strings samples.

In addition to the full section, we have duplicated full longs and legatos with a smaller half section band.

The brass range concentrates on the true beauty of traditional British brass sections and their heart-wrenching choral qualities.

We have two ensembles: a bank of euphoniums and horns, and the more ancient but no less moving sackbut choir.

The wind section concentrates on the beautiful simplistic qualities of traditional wooden recorders, adding a beautiful choral-like addition to the string section.

The Byron Tapes

An inspiring place to start any new indy cue.

A comprehensive selection of rhythm loops, inspired by a popular keyboard instrument from the 60s and 70s.

As there were only a few of these rhythms recorded on the original classic, they have been subject to massive over-use.

Loegria provides an entirely new comprehensive bank of these styles of rhythms.

Choose from a variety of mix settings, including one via a line mixer owned and used by Jimi Hendrix.

Loops and patterns designed to tempo lock with your host.

Darwin Percussion

Another selection of thundering drums - everything you would expect from 'cinema' style percussion.

Spitfire have gone deeper this time, with five round robins, five dynamic layers and more hits.

They have also recorded and edited 'tight' and 'loose' versions of the patches, which really give you a sense of manpower behind the recordings.

Fenton Reversers

Any media composer knows that a tricky cut, or a suddenly revised edit can make a mess of the musicality of a cue.

A trick of Spitfire's that blurs a jump in music - a sudden 3/4 bar or 11/8 cut that runs in the middle of a beat - is to use some form of reversed material.

Fenton Reversers are a selection of super cool reverses derived from the Albion range and locked into your host tempo, so you don't need to line them up.

A lot of these are also controllable by the mod wheel.tempo lock with your host.

Stephenson's Steam Band

Spitfire have taken the orchestral elements found within the library and have warped them beyond recognition, creating a sparkling and rich set of pads, drones and atmos.

With two-way mic control and modulation control, these sounds mix beautifully with your orchestral arrangements, as they are from a wholly organic source.

AIR Studios

Loegria was recorded in the enchanting ambiance of Lyndhurst Hall, located within the esteemed AIR Studios.

This magnificent recording space has been the creative haven for countless iconic film & TV scores, including Harry Potter, Stranger Things, Elvis, Gladiator and Interstellar.

It has also set the stage for unforgettable soundtracks in popular computer games such as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, God of War Ragnarök, and Spider-Man.

The Overview Panel

This is the main interface for melodic instruments.

Its default view displays all available playing techniques, has a simple microphone mixer and includes the main feature controllers.

General Controls Panel

This view allows further in-depth control of the instrument, showing all available signals and feature controllers, as well as the ability to purge techniques from memory to reduce system usage.

The Ostinatum

In this view you can add notes to a pattern sequencer, select which key it triggers on and then play for instant Ostinato creation.

It's like an arpeggiator on a synthesizer.

The Basics

iLok is a copy protection method used by many of our brands.

It has 3 types of activations, iLok USB, iLok Machine, and iLok Cloud.

Different brands/products will offer different iLok methods. iLok USB is always an option, but the availability of iLok Cloud and iLok Machine methods is at the discretion of the software developer.

iLok Account

For all iLok protected products, you will need an iLok account. You can create one for free here: ilok.com/#!registration

iLok License Manager

To manage your iLok licenses, there is a dedicated app called iLok License Manager. This app is used to register, activate, and move your licenses between locations.

You can download the latest installers from the iLok website: ilok.com/#!home

iLok USB Key

iLok USB

This activation is stored on an iLok 2 or 3 USB key.

It is the best option for portability, if you frequently move between multiple machines, and offline use.

iLok Machine ID

Machine ID

This activation is stored locally on your computer.

While this is a convenient way to work offline, and does not require the additional cost of an iLok USB, there is the risk of a license being lost in the case of a drive failure.

This option also requires extra care when you upgrade to a new computer, the license(s) must be deactivated on your old machine first to ensure you do not lose them.

iLok Cloud

iLok Cloud

This activation is based online, and requires a "cloud session" using the iLok License Manager.

It requires an active internet connection for the entire time you use the plugin(s).

Crossgrade Proof

This crossgrade is for owners of a competing DAW. To prove your DAW ownership, we require that you upload proof in the form of an image/PDF.

Types of proof

A copy of your purchase receipt for the original license or the most recent update/upgrade

A screenshot of your product registration

A photo of your package (either CD/DVD or printed manual), with the unique serial number included in the photo.
