The Albion Orchestra Iceni Sessions

The Orchestra just got very monstrous and very very frightening.

• Winds - 2 contra bassoons, 2 contrabass clarinets, heckelphone, 2 bassoons, 2 bass clarinets, 1 bass saxophone
• Brass - 2 tubas, 2 cimbassi, 2 contra bass bones, 3 bass bones
• Strings - 0, 0, 0, 24, 8. Yes.... no violins, no violas, but 24 celli and 8 basses.

Recorded both tutti and in two Celli sections, with the Celli split into two on either side of the room, and the Basses in the middle.

It simply has to be heard to be believed.

This orchestral toolset is primitively simple and effective - longs, legatos, shorts, with mind-boggling FX in the brass and woods.

Iceni was recorded in the enchanting ambiance of Lyndhurst Hall, located within the esteemed AIR Studios.

This magnificent recording space has been the creative haven for countless iconic film & TV scores, including Harry Potter, Stranger Things, Elvis, Gladiator and Interstellar.

It has also set the stage for unforgettable soundtracks in popular computer games such as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, God of War Ragnarök, and Spider-Man.

The Overview Panel

This is the main interface for melodic instruments.

Its default view displays all available playing techniques, has a simple microphone mixer and includes the main feature controllers.

General Controls Panel

This view allows further in-depth control of the instrument, showing all available signals and feature controllers, as well as the ability to purge techniques from memory to reduce system usage.

The Ostinatum

In this view you can add notes to a pattern sequencer, select which key it triggers on and then play for instant ostinato creation.

It's like an arpeggiator on a synthesizer.
