The Composer's Toolkit

After debuting the concept in 1992 with the JV-80 synth, Roland's wave expansion board releases eventually grew to over 30 titles across two formats and multiple generations of supported instruments.

For two-plus decades, SRX and SR-JV80 boards were an everyday staple for the world's top producers, composers, and performers, and their sounds have been heard in countless hit songs, film soundtracks, and all types of media.

Digital Circuit Behavior (DCB) technology reproduces every nuance and detail, fusing the original sample ROM with advanced behavior modeling that replicates the hardware’s digital components and circuitry.
