Rave Generation Time Modulator

Time Modulator is a recreation of a legendary 1970s analog delay processor, one of the most advanced time-based effects units of its era.

Originally developed in the mid-1970s, this iconic unit achieved an exceptional 95dB signal-to-noise ratio through a dual BBD (Bucket Brigade Delay) design paired with modified dbx 303 compander circuitry.

The plugin faithfully reproduces the full signal path of the original hardware, including the proprietary ADL-70-D (Dynamic) and ADL-60-S (Static) delay modules, custom dbx 303 compander boards, and a complex internal LFO system.

Its sound helped shape iconic tracks like Stevie Wonder's Songs in the Key of Life, David Bowie's Ashes to Ashes, and Queen's Another One Bites the Dust.

It was also central to the Darth Vader voice processing in Star Wars, making it a key tool in both music production and cinematic sound design throughout the 70s and 80s.

Time Modulator also adds modern features such as full automation support and smooth parameter transitions, while preserving the analog tone and intricate signal behavior that made the original a creative staple.
