The Basics

iLok is a copy protection method used by many of our brands.

It has 3 types of activations, iLok USB, iLok Machine, and iLok Cloud.

Different brands/products will offer different iLok methods. iLok USB is always an option, but the availability of iLok Cloud and iLok Machine methods is at the discretion of the software developer.

iLok Account

For all iLok protected products, you will need an iLok account. You can create one for free here: ilok.com/#!registration

iLok License Manager

To manage your iLok licenses, there is a dedicated app called iLok License Manager. This app is used to register, activate, and move your licenses between locations.

iLok USB Key

iLok USB

This activation is stored on an iLok 2 or 3 USB key.

It is the best option for portability, if you frequently move between multiple machines, and offline use.

iLok Machine ID

Machine ID

This activation is stored locally on your computer.

While this is a convenient way to work offline, and does not require the additional cost of an iLok USB, there is the risk of a license being lost in the case of a drive failure.

This option also requires extra care when you upgrade to a new computer, the license(s) must be deactivated on your old machine first to ensure you do not lose them.

iLok Cloud

iLok Cloud

This activation is based online, and requires a "cloud session" using the iLok License Manager.

It requires an active internet connection for the entire time you use the plugin(s).

Super Chorus is a plugin that accurately emulates three classic chorus circuits from hardware used across four decades of music production.

It captures the warm, analog character of an 80s rack unit, the wide stereo chorus sound heard in 90s trance, and the fluid modulation that helped define the mid-80s hoover sound.

Alongside these faithful recreations, Super Chorus includes modern features such as stereo width control, variable mix levels, and full access to all key parameters in each mode.

Use it to build lush synthwave pads, add depth and motion to guitar parts, or create bold, sweeping chorus effects for electronic tracks.

Super Chorus offers both vintage tone and modern control, making it a flexible tool for a wide range of styles.

Authentic bucket brigade delay characteristics with proper frequency response and modulation behavior.

Period-Correct Rate Mapping

Logarithmic scaling for CE-300/JP-8000, linear mapping for Alpha Juno 2 (research-based authenticity).

Integrated Compression/Expansion

Authentic compander processing (CE-300) and VCA-style dynamics (Alpha Juno 2).

True stereo processing

Phase-inverted LFO modulation for authentic stereo imaging.

Modern Enhancements

Stereo width control, variable dry/wet mixing, and tone shaping.

Direct Mute Functionality

Authentic Direct Mute behavior per original hardware specifications.
