PSI Cymbals features an extensive array of Paper Stone's favourite Meinl, Sabian, Dream and Zilgian Cymbals, extensively sampled in our incredible live room.

  • Hi-Hats - 3 wonderful high hats forensically sampled with up to 40 velocity layers
  • Rides - 5 exquisite rides recorded with sticks and softbeaters
  • Crashes - A dazzling selection of crashes, chinas, splashes and an electrostack

Each sample is impeccably captured in 3 mic positions with some of the finest recording equipment:

  • Close mic - Flea 47 into a BAE 1073D
  • Overheads - AKG 414BULS pair into API 3124 preamps
  • Room - Neumann KM184 pair into ISA 428 preamps
  • All into Prism Sound converters
