The Basics

iLok is a copy protection method used by many of our brands.

It has 3 types of activations, iLok USB, iLok Machine, and iLok Cloud.

Different brands/products will offer different iLok methods. iLok USB is always an option, but the availability of iLok Cloud and iLok Machine methods is at the discretion of the software developer.

iLok Account

For all iLok protected products, you will need an iLok account. You can create one for free here: ilok.com/#!registration

iLok License Manager

To manage your iLok licenses, there is a dedicated app called iLok License Manager. This app is used to register, activate, and move your licenses between locations.

iLok USB Key

iLok USB

This activation is stored on an iLok 2 or 3 USB key.

It is the best option for portability, if you frequently move between multiple machines, and offline use.

iLok Machine ID

Machine ID

This activation is stored locally on your computer.

While this is a convenient way to work offline, and does not require the additional cost of an iLok USB, there is the risk of a license being lost in the case of a drive failure.

This option also requires extra care when you upgrade to a new computer, the license(s) must be deactivated on your old machine first to ensure you do not lose them.

iLok Cloud

iLok Cloud

This activation is based online, and requires a "cloud session" using the iLok License Manager.

It requires an active internet connection for the entire time you use the plugin(s).

The official Jensen IR library based on the "Falcon 10" C10/40 FA 40W Ceramic speaker.

This is a systematic capture of a Jensen Falcon 10, from the Jet series, installed in two different enclosures for a total of 576 IRs:

  • 1x10" Open Back cabinet
  • 2x10" Closed Back cabinet

Developed in conjunction with a Jensen Speakers product specialist, in order to recreate the most authentic playing experience, as if you were playing an original speaker.

A very successful and versatile 10", the Falcon 10 adds a new dimension of openness to the classic, fat and warm tone of its 12" version.

The membrane is based on a natural, hemp-like material, responsible for the organic response in the midrange.

The seamed cone delivers an unexpected bass response for its 10" size and it is balanced perfectly with its sweet, yet cutting and present high end.

Both in the 1x10" configuration, the Falcon 10 is known for making up for a huge, articulate tone, much bigger than the speaker itself.

In a 2x10" enclosure, it retains the fast attack and the sparkle, coupled with a full bodied, solid tone.

Made for SuperCabinet

This library was created for the TH-U Supercabinet that allows you to:

  • Graphically browse the IRs in the library
  • Blend multiple IRs and create totally custom and huge stereo guitar tones
  • Compose new cabinet tones with the unique Multiband mode
  • Export your crafted IRs in .wav format for use with all major hardware modelers and software IR loaders

Every microphone has been moved to 4 different horizontal position (Cap, Cap Edge, Cone and Cone Edge), two distances and two angles, for a total of 16 IRs each.

All the measurement set has been repeated for each one of the cabinet in the library.

All IRs have been phase aligned and they can be blended without phase cancellations.
