Nextmidi Divisimate Core
Realtime Orchestration Plugin
Your Modular Orchestration Toolkit
Divisimate Core allows you to create and manage playable orchestrations for different sets of instruments.
Each instance of Divisimate Core creates distinct parts for up to 16 virtual instruments from incoming chords in real time.
Play live or send prepared MIDI to the plugin and record the individual parts on separate instrument tracks through either the direct plugin output or virtual ports.
Build automatic voicings, design intricate patterns, and speed up your workflow as you automatically spread out simple chords into sophisticated orchestrations.
Divide and Conquer
The centerpiece of Divisimate Core is the Divisi Engine that splits up incoming chords into individual musical voices in real time.
On the Orchestrate Page, you can choose how many voices you want to play and route these voices freely across the 16 ports to build different combinations of instruments.
Smaller Scope, Full Control
Divisimate Core includes the essential features from the flagship Divisimate 2 to further customize your orchestrations.
Insert up to three different modifier plugins on each part and tailor them exactly to your musical vision.
- The Transposer Plugin allows you to transpose every part chromatically or within the global scale
- The Arpeggiator Plugin creates patterns, textures and rhythms from incoming notes
- The Trigger Plugin can send out specific notes and controllers to switch articulations when a preset is loaded
Build Your Workflow
Assign your favorite presets to easy-to-use pads on the Perform Page and quickly switch between them with the mouse, track automation, or the MIDI remote function.
Organize your presets in different Performances for different instances and put just the right orchestrations at your fingertips.
Using the direct plugin MIDI out, you can run as many instances side by side as you need (not currently available in Ableton Live, LUNA or MainStage).
More Features
- Keyswitch Range: Define a key range that will always be passed through to routed instruments, so you have access to your favorite articulations at all times
- Performance and Preset Export/Import: Quickly share sets of presets between users and import pre-existing orchestrations and layouts.
- Humanization Engine: Introduce small human differences in note and controller values to avoid identical sounds
- MPE Input Support: Use an MPE Controller with Divisimate to have even more control over every single note.
- All CC, Aftertouch, and Pitch Bend data that belong to a certain note will automatically be sent to the instruments playing those notes.
- 200+ included Orchestrations: Get started quickly with included factory performances for orchestral woodwind, brass, and string sections.
Divisimate 2 vs Divisimate Core vs Divisimate Micro
With three different versions of Divisimate, you can choose your intended workflow and the degree to which you want to introduce Divisimate into it.
Divisimate Micro is for you if you only want to use the Divisi Engine to play sets of monophonic instruments in chords. A string quartet, a horn section, something simple in an isolated place in your project.
Divisimate Core was designed for everyone looking for a modular approach, but still wanting to create different orchestrations. Playing and orchestrating just one section with Divisimate and setting up unique colors for that subset of instruments. For example, it allows having dedicated "control" tracks for woodwinds, brass, percussion, and strings.
Divisimate 2 allows you to connect all your instruments to one massive orchestration engine. Your whole ensemble of up to 512 instruments becomes part of this large color palette, where you can mix and match all instruments and record complete, playable orchestrations right in your project.
