Native Instruments Reaktor 6 - Update from Previous Version

Modular Synthesizer Virtual Instrument

True Sonic Playground

Reaktor 6 is the ultimate creative toolkit for deep sound exploration, featuring cutting-edge DSP and high-fidelity sound.

Take full control of your sounds, or create something never heard before.

Reaktor is the beating heart that gives life to synths like Native Instruments' Razor and Monark, as well as third-party releases from Twisted Tools, Tim Exile, Blinksonic and many more.

It's a sandbox for sound creation, a limitless platform for experimenting and diving into new sound directions.

Reaktor lets you build instruments to replicate the sounds in your head, in a way that existing instruments can't.

For Those Who Play

Whatever music you make, the diverse Factory and User Libraries in REAKTOR 6 are ready to deliver instant inspiration.

A huge and ever-growing library of instruments, samplers, effects and sound design tools will expand your sonic vocabulary exponentially.

Professional presets get you creating immediately.

Reaktor 6 runs standalone or as a VST/AU plug-in with your favorite DAW.

Included Sounds

Reaktor's factory library features over 70 ready-to-use instruments and effects - a unique collection of synthesizers, legacy effects, groove boxes, sample transformers, sequenced synths, and sequencers to explore.

From Skrewell and Spiral to Newscool and Lazerbass, every instrument is made with Reaktor's trademark sound quality.

And once unlocked, each and every instrument is even fully editable and patchable.

User Library

The Reaktor User Library is where the Reaktor community shares their creations, over 4,000 and counting.

Builders are constantly creating and uploading devices like drum machines, filters, delays and distortions - infinite variety for your imagination to play with.

You'll even find emulations of classic synths, tape echoes, and innovative additive synthesizers.

The User Library is also the place to share your Blocks patches - get feedback from a vibrant, inspired community of sonic explorers who share your passion for musical experimentation.

Patch Blocks

The simplest way to start patching in Reaktor is with Blocks in Rack mode.

Patch modules together with color-coded cables directly on the panel, just like the hardware equivalent.

You can use the output of just about anything to modulate parameters on another module, leading to unexpected and inspiring creations and sounds.

Modules behave and perform predictably under any modulation routing, including feedback - a standout feature for a software-based system.

Patch Everything

Reaktor's classic ensemble mode allows you to take patching a level deeper.

Add a sequencer to a synth (Spiral and REAKTOR PRISM for example), and connect via internal MIDI.

Or take effects from the factory library and chain them to your sound source in structure view to create completely new sounds.

From Patching to Building

Patching in Reaktor is a great first step toward building your own devices with Reaktor.

Once comfortable with patching Blocks, or combining existing devices with new sound sources at ensemble level, diving into Reaktor's Core level is the next step - you can look inside synths, effects and Blocks to gain a deeper understanding of how they were built.

Building In Reaktor

REAKTOR is a powerful, highly-advanced platform for building any synth, effect, and sound design tool imaginable - from heavenly harmonies to ear-splitting feedback loops.

Create unique devices to make unique sounds.

And then, if you want, share them with the Reaktor community in the user library.

Primary and Core Structures

Reaktor is a deeply powerful, highly-advanced platform for building any synth, effect, and sound design tool imaginable.

From two structural levels - Core and Primary - the entire spectrum of device development opens to you.

Primary is the structural top-level, using a graphical signal flow paradigm with step-by-step event processing.

It's where all parameters, events, MIDI and OSC data are handled.

Sound is created on Primary level using Primary Macros and Modules.

Core is the deepest structural level, featuring a powerful runtime machine code audio compiler.

Perfect for custom DSP algorithms, Core has its own comprehensive library of best-in-class DSP components.

Your Sonic Toolkit

Use REAKTOR's included Primary and Core Macro libraries to design anything from simple synthesizers and real-time live performance tools to compositional systems and advanced granular processors.

This comprehensive set of best-in-class DSP components empowers builders with the raw materials to create custom sound-generating systems from the ground up.

Or go one step further and use them as a starting point for building or customizing your own macros.

The Basics

iLok is a copy protection method used by many of our brands.

It has 3 types of activations, iLok USB, iLok Machine, and iLok Cloud.

Different brands/products will offer different iLok methods. iLok USB is always an option, but the availability of iLok Cloud and iLok Machine methods is at the discretion of the software developer.

iLok Account

For all iLok protected products, you will need an iLok account. You can create one for free here: ilok.com/#!registration

iLok License Manager

To manage your iLok licenses, there is a dedicated app called iLok License Manager. This app is used to register, activate, and move your licenses between locations.

You can download the latest installers from the iLok website: ilok.com/#!home

iLok USB Key

iLok USB

This activation is stored on an iLok 2 or 3 USB key.

It is the best option for portability, if you frequently move between multiple machines, and offline use.

iLok Machine ID

Machine ID

This activation is stored locally on your computer.

While this is a convenient way to work offline, and does not require the additional cost of an iLok USB, there is the risk of a license being lost in the case of a drive failure.

This option also requires extra care when you upgrade to a new computer, the license(s) must be deactivated on your old machine first to ensure you do not lose them.

iLok Cloud

iLok Cloud

This activation is based online, and requires a "cloud session" using the iLok License Manager.

It requires an active internet connection for the entire time you use the plugin(s).

Crossgrade Proof

This crossgrade is for owners of a competing DAW. To prove your DAW ownership, we require that you upload proof in the form of an image/PDF.

Types of proof

A copy of your purchase receipt for the original license or the most recent update/upgrade

A screenshot of your product registration

A photo of your package (either CD/DVD or printed manual), with the unique serial number included in the photo.
