Moog Moogerfooger MF-102S Ring Modulator
Ring Modulator Plugin
The MF-102 Ring Modulator, introduced in 1998, contained three complete modular functions: a Ring Modulator, a voltage-controlled Carrier Oscillator, and a voltage-controlled dual-waveform Low Frequency Oscillator (LFO).
Designed by Bob Moog and his engineering team, the MF-102 was a direct descendant of the original Moog modular synthesizers, adapted to process, modulate, and play with inputs ranging from guitar, voice, and synthesizer to any imaginable audio source.
The MF-102 Ring Modulator has been meticulously recreated as the MF-102S, capturing not only the spaced-out, retro-futuristic sound of the original, but also the organic way in which the parameters interact to create a musical playing experience.
With CV interconnectivity, stereo functionality, an extended feature set, the ability to run multiple instances, and presets, the MF-102S plug-in further tailors the classic Moogerfooger functionality to the modern digital creator.

The MF-102S Ring Modulator also introduces unique features not seen on the hardware instrument, including:
CARRIER TYPE switches between the MONO carrier oscillator of the original or a STEREO one, and provides for out-of-phase stereo carrier signals with PANNING and REVERSE.
LFO POLARITY affects the polarity of the LFO, which can be either BIPOLAR or UNIPOLAR.
The MF-102S offers CV Inputs for Carrier Frequency, LFO Rate, LFO Amount, and Mix, as well as an independent CARRIER input and the capability to attenuate or soften these modulations.
