The Basics

iLok is a copy protection method used by many of our brands.

It has 3 types of activations, iLok USB, iLok Machine, and iLok Cloud.

Different brands/products will offer different iLok methods. iLok USB is always an option, but the availability of iLok Cloud and iLok Machine methods is at the discretion of the software developer.

iLok Account

For all iLok protected products, you will need an iLok account. You can create one for free here: ilok.com/#!registration

iLok License Manager

To manage your iLok licenses, there is a dedicated app called iLok License Manager. This app is used to register, activate, and move your licenses between locations.

You can download the latest installers from the iLok website: ilok.com/#!home

iLok USB Key

iLok USB

This activation is stored on an iLok 2 or 3 USB key.

It is the best option for portability, if you frequently move between multiple machines, and offline use.

iLok Machine ID

Machine ID

This activation is stored locally on your computer.

While this is a convenient way to work offline, and does not require the additional cost of an iLok USB, there is the risk of a license being lost in the case of a drive failure.

This option also requires extra care when you upgrade to a new computer, the license(s) must be deactivated on your old machine first to ensure you do not lose them.

iLok Cloud

iLok Cloud

This activation is based online, and requires a "cloud session" using the iLok License Manager.

It requires an active internet connection for the entire time you use the plugin(s).

Vespera Pro

The first installment of Mntra's Acoustic Synthesis line, Vespera is a hybrid electro-acoustic synthesizer crafted to explore physical re-synthesis.

This instrument utilizes heavily driven tube modular synth oscillations meticulously re-amped and resonated through various physical objects.

Vespera transmutes both these sources into a deeply expressive polyphonic instrument that responds intuitively to your slightest touch with SSM powered 128+ velocity capability, offering deep reactive sonic variation that surpasses the capabilities of traditional hardware or virtual synths.

Tenebrae

Snakes of Russia opens his personal Pandora's Box, offering you a deep collection that has been curated from his distinctive sonic palette, yet through the advanced MNDALA 2 engine gives you limitless options to create your own sound.

Mntra conceptualized Tenebrae as an exhumed creature, buried for over a century and now resurfaced - bringing the dark dust from the depths of the earth.

Transmuted through analog processing and tape; modular and analog synths, obscure bowed instruments and gritty percussion come together to bring the darkness in Tenebrae.

Galactron

Galactron is a deep dive into the early explorations of digital synthesis.

Travel through crystalline 12-bit FM synthesis, gritty Phase Distortion synthesis, and lush digitally controlled analog straight from the 80s.

With the help of the powerful sound sculpting engine MNDALA 2, the sounds of these synthesizers that we have known and loved for a long time, have been expanded into a new kaleidoscopic creation, colorful and daring to be different.

With seven categories: Keys, Bass, Lead, Pad, Sequence, Modulated and Exploration; Galactron boasts 40 sample maps and over 100 presets that will serve the style of any creator seeking vibrant neon, beautifully aliased, cosmic sounds.

Pripyat

Pripyat is Mntra's first foray into the world of synthetic textures, funnelled through a idiosyncratic approach to sampling and sound design.

With a focus on the cold and industrial character of some of our favourite synth heavy scores, the main source material was derived from electromagnetic interference recorded at an electrical substation and unstable vintage analog synths processed by custom-made guitar pedals and eurorack modular.

These radioactive soundscapes are sure to add a new dimension to your palette - inspiring you and breathing new life into your music.
