A vibrant sonic journey into the heart of Barranquilla's underground music culture, El Jaguar captures the raw sonic energy by re-amping through Colombia's iconic Picó sound systems.

Fusing Afro-Caribbean percussion, marimba, vintage drum machines, and modular synths - each re-amped through a towering Picó - this toolbox of sounds pulses with warmth, distortion, and movement.

Crafted in collaboration with local artists and transformed through analog processing, El Jaguar offers a versatile palette of textures designed to cut through modern Latin rhythms, hip-hop beats, and experimental electronics alike.

It's not just a sound - it's a living spirit built to move bodies to all kinds of rhythms.

Ha Noi

Introducing Ha Noi, an ode to the magic of Vietnam's capital city.

This project is the outcome of an immersive creative residency in Vietnam, undertaken by our gifted in-house sound and visual designer, Noah Sherrin.

Leveraging the transformative power of our MNDALA 2 engine, these already-vivid sounds have been artistically reinterpreted and reshaped into a multitude of new forms.

Naada

Naada, the third offering in our Portals series, takes us on a transformative journey to India - reimagining its classical sounds as uniquely expressive, cinematic instruments and textures.

By seamlessly blending the depth of ancient ragas with contemporary aesthetics, Naada opens new realms for sonic exploration, offering musicians, producers, and sound healers unmatched flexibility to fuse diverse textures and sounds across genres.

Empowered by MNDALA 2's animistic synthesis engine, Naada pushes beyond conventional limits, transmuting acoustic sources through its extensive dynamic DSP powers to unveil new sound dimensions.

This not only facilitates genre fusion but also promotes the discovery of a broad spectrum of new sounds and textures ready to be explored.

From the eternal beauty of ancient ragas, to the dynamic energy of modern hybrid electronic soundtracks, and the resonant expanse of healing sound baths, Naada dismantles musical boundaries, serving as a gateway to the universal vibrations that unite us.

Nagual

Nagual is a reactive polyphonic instrument built from rare Pre-Hispanic ceremonial sources.

Collaborating with Ramiro Ramírez, one of Mexico's most revered musicians in these traditions, we captured clay flutes, conch trumpets, wooden drums, ocarinas, and ritual whistles, then transmuted them into a living instrument where sources merge, morph, and respond to your touch in real time.

Sources originally limited to single tones - now reactive, blendable, and fully performable.

Oro

Unlock a portal into creative potential with Oro, an alchemical journey through the transformation of metal instruments in Colombia.

As the second chapter in our location-based Portals series, Oro embodies our creative exploration of the place that half of the MNTRA Team calls home, Bogotá, Colombia.

This inspirational instrument boasts a rich collection of modern valved brass instruments, an architecturally acclaimed pipe organ, and an array of metal percussion, accompanied by analog and digitally transformed versions of those sources and immersive natural ambiences.
