The Basics

iLok is a copy protection method used by many of our brands.

It has 3 types of activations, iLok USB, iLok Machine, and iLok Cloud.

Different brands/products will offer different iLok methods. iLok USB is always an option, but the availability of iLok Cloud and iLok Machine methods is at the discretion of the software developer.

iLok Account

For all iLok protected products, you will need an iLok account. You can create one for free here: ilok.com/#!registration

iLok License Manager

To manage your iLok licenses, there is a dedicated app called iLok License Manager. This app is used to register, activate, and move your licenses between locations.

iLok USB Key

iLok USB

This activation is stored on an iLok 2 or 3 USB key.

It is the best option for portability, if you frequently move between multiple machines, and offline use.

iLok Machine ID

Machine ID

This activation is stored locally on your computer.

While this is a convenient way to work offline, and does not require the additional cost of an iLok USB, there is the risk of a license being lost in the case of a drive failure.

This option also requires extra care when you upgrade to a new computer, the license(s) must be deactivated on your old machine first to ensure you do not lose them.

iLok Cloud

iLok Cloud

This activation is based online, and requires a "cloud session" using the iLok License Manager.

It requires an active internet connection for the entire time you use the plugin(s).

Ventus Winds Duduk features the haunting, mysterious sound of the duduk, more playable and expressive than ever before. This library is the debut of the AGILITY engine for smooth legato playing, poly legato, harmonization, and much more. Includes 12+ playing techniques and over 700 pre-recorded phrases!

The Duduk

Ventus Duduk is the sixth entry into our acclaimed series of deep-sampled woodwinds from all over the world, and showcases an all-new Kontakt Player engine for the first time in the series. This new script allows for even more realistic performances and legato transitions, and adds long-awaited features such as polyphonic playing, harmonies, and scale locking for extra authenticity.

All of this new technology supports a beautiful set of duduk performances: single notes, legatos, ornaments, and phrases. The duduk itself is among the most widely-used non-Western woodwinds in cinematic music. It can be heard in classic TV/film scores from Gladiator, Avatar, Battlestar Galactica, and Game of Thrones to video game soundtracks like Civilization, WarCraft, Uncharted, and God of War. Its mellow, haunting tone can be compared to that of an oboe, and with a skilled performer, is capable of very nimble grace notes and articulations.

Console: Modular FX Rack and Mixer

Console is our new mixer, modular effects rack, and pedalboard, designed to give you full control over your virtual guitar tone. Unlike our previous FX racks, which were limited to a small amount of preset modules, Console gives you 30 effects modules to choose from!

These include multiple EQs (digital and analog-style), compressors, spatial FX, modulation FX, amps, distortion pedals, reverbs, and a selection of over 30 custom cabinet IRs recorded just for Shreddage 3! These cabs cover all the most important sounds you would want, with both dynamic & condenser mics in multiple positions plus a ribbon mic for certain models.

Using Console, you can easily save and load FX chains or presets between projects or even different Shreddage 3 products. It also allows you to mix and blend between guitar pickups, with custom inserts on each if you'd like.

Total Articulation Control Technology (TACT) 2.0

Ventus Duduk includes an updated version of TACT, allowing you to customize how all articulations are mapped and triggered! Everyone has their own preferences for how to perform or write for virtual guitar, and with TACT you can create the perfect setup for your DAW.

Requirements

  • Kontakt Player 5.7 or Kontakt Full 5.7 (or higher)
  • 4GB disk space
  • 4GB RAM minimum (8GB or more recommended)
  • Your system must also meet the requirements for version 5.7.0 of Kontakt. If you cannot run that version, you will not be able to load this library.

Crossgrade Proof

This crossgrade is for owners of a competing DAW. To prove your DAW ownership, we require that you upload proof in the form of an image/PDF.
