The Basics

iLok is a copy protection method used by many of our brands.

It has 3 types of activations, iLok USB, iLok Machine, and iLok Cloud.

Different brands/products will offer different iLok methods. iLok USB is always an option, but the availability of iLok Cloud and iLok Machine methods is at the discretion of the software developer.

iLok Account

For all iLok protected products, you will need an iLok account. You can create one for free here: ilok.com/#!registration

iLok License Manager

To manage your iLok licenses, there is a dedicated app called iLok License Manager. This app is used to register, activate, and move your licenses between locations.

iLok USB Key

iLok USB

This activation is stored on an iLok 2 or 3 USB key.

It is the best option for portability, if you frequently move between multiple machines, and offline use.

iLok Machine ID

Machine ID

This activation is stored locally on your computer.

While this is a convenient way to work offline, and does not require the additional cost of an iLok USB, there is the risk of a license being lost in the case of a drive failure.

This option also requires extra care when you upgrade to a new computer, the license(s) must be deactivated on your old machine first to ensure you do not lose them.

iLok Cloud

iLok Cloud

This activation is based online, and requires a "cloud session" using the iLok License Manager.

It requires an active internet connection for the entire time you use the plugin(s).

Concept

The Harpejji, handcrafted by Marcodi Musical Products in Maryland, USA, is one of the most unique instruments of the 21st century. Played by such musicians as Stevie Wonder, Jacob Collier, Jordan Rudess, and A.R. Rahman, it combines elements from traditional keyboard instruments with bass & guitar, with a unique layout (up to 24 strings) that is played exclusively by tapping. Virtuosic leads (with vibrato & pitch bends), walking basslines, and rich chords are all equally possible - at the same time!

Our authorized, virtual version of this incredible instrument features the sound of the Harpejji K24, the largest model with the widest range. Because it was recorded clean (direct in/DI), you can shape the tone however you want, and we've included a wide selection of snapshots to inspire your creativity.

But Modern Harpejji can also go beyond the capabilities of the physical instrument. You can create new sounds by layering up to 3 strings on the same pitch simultaneously, switch to all bass or all treble strings, enable scale-correct harmonies, and adjust the dynamic response of the entire instrument.

Thanks to its versatile sound and Kontakt engine, Modern Harpejji works for a huge range of styles and genres - and it's simply a blast to play. We hope you'll enjoy it in your own music productions!

Console: Modular FX Rack and Mixer

Now upgraded for Kontakt 6.4, Console is our new mixer, modular effects rack, and pedal board, designed to give you full control over your instrument tone. Console gives you 35 effects modules to choose from!

These include multiple EQs (digital and analog-style), compressors, spatial FX, modulation FX, amps, distortion pedals, reverbs, and a selection of over 30 custom cabinet IRs! These cabs cover all the most important sounds you would want, with both dynamic & condenser mics in multiple positions plus a ribbon mic for certain models.
