At its core is an interactive, passive three-band tonestack (Low, Mid, High) that emulates the volatile behavior of iconic British hardware.

Rather than boosting isolated frequencies like a clean digital EQ, these controls interact dynamically, shaping the underlying saturation profile as you twist them.

• Low: Adds foundational weight and warm, organic thickness without introducing low-frequency mud.
• Mid & High: Delivers an aggressive, cutting midrange voice and crisp edge to push sounds forward.
• Deep: Low-end resonance and structural girth, injecting an acoustic thump you can feel.
• Sizzle: A custom, post-clipping exciter. Rather than just boosting brightness, it generates entirely new harmonic content from 2kHz and above. Perfect for adding premium edge, air, and bite!

Drive Deputy Distortion as hard as you need, then pull back the onboard Mix knob for seamless parallel saturation.

Use the Volume Link option to experiment with tone without dramatically changing output volume.

Natural compression and hard clipping from the tube circuitry goes hand-in-hand with the delightfully impolite distortion.

But you can rescue hidden details with the adjustable Dynamic Follow, letting you keep punches and spikes without losing any saturation and harmonics.

Dial it back to low gain for a crunchy overdrive-type sound, or push it further to a full, fire-breathing roar.
