Recorded and performed by Eduardo Tarilonte, the collection captures the natural breath, subtle imperfections, and expressive detail that make these instruments so evocative.

From warm cedar and rich walnut to bright maple and resonant bamboo, every flute offers a different combination of tone, response, and character.

Some are soft and intimate, others airy and lyrical, while the deepest instruments add a dark, spacious, and atmospheric presence.

Designed for cinematic landscapes, ambient textures, emotional melodies, sound design, atmospheric compositions as well as New Age, Totem brings an organic and highly expressive palette to modern music production.

The Flutes

Totem features 12 Native American flutes made from Spanish cedar, aromatic cedar, walnut, ebonized walnut, quilted maple, and bamboo.

Their different tunings, sizes, materials, and tonal characteristics provide a broad range of expressive voices, from warm and lyrical to deep, breathy, and mysterious.

Expressive Flute Features

Each flute preserves the natural breath and movement of the original performance.

Natural and Editable Legato provides realistic note transitions with adjustable response, while Blow Intensity and independent Vibrato controls add expressive movement in real time.

Finger Hole Sounds and Release Sounds add subtle acoustic details for a more natural performance.

A second flute can be added as a Drone to create layered textures, while Ornament Speed lets you adapt embellishments to your composition.

Volume, Pitch, Pan, and Reverb controls provide additional sound shaping.

Flute Phrases

Each flute includes a dedicated Phrases instrument with expressive performances and keyswitch-controlled variations.

Four BPM categories at 75, 85, 110, and 155 BPM make it easy to find phrases that fit your composition.

Soundscapes

20 atmospheric Soundscapes combine breathy flute sounds with evocative textures, providing immersive backgrounds, meditative ambiences, cinematic drones, and mysterious sonic environments.
