The Basics

iLok is a copy protection method used by many of our brands.

It has 3 types of activations, iLok USB, iLok Machine, and iLok Cloud.

Different brands/products will offer different iLok methods. iLok USB is always an option, but the availability of iLok Cloud and iLok Machine methods is at the discretion of the software developer.

iLok Account

For all iLok protected products, you will need an iLok account. You can create one for free here: ilok.com/#!registration

iLok License Manager

To manage your iLok licenses, there is a dedicated app called iLok License Manager. This app is used to register, activate, and move your licenses between locations.

iLok USB Key

iLok USB

This activation is stored on an iLok 2 or 3 USB key.

It is the best option for portability, if you frequently move between multiple machines, and offline use.

iLok Machine ID

Machine ID

This activation is stored locally on your computer.

While this is a convenient way to work offline, and does not require the additional cost of an iLok USB, there is the risk of a license being lost in the case of a drive failure.

This option also requires extra care when you upgrade to a new computer, the license(s) must be deactivated on your old machine first to ensure you do not lose them.

iLok Cloud

iLok Cloud

This activation is based online, and requires a "cloud session" using the iLok License Manager.

It requires an active internet connection for the entire time you use the plugin(s).

Resident sound designer Christian Laffitte is back at it again with Latin Vibes 2, exactly where the successful Latin Vibes sound pack left off.

Drawing from his extensive world music knowledge, Christian explores once more modern tropical Latin music but this time around, adding colors and flavors straight from the African continent.

With its 12 styles, 84 guitar presets, and 84 strumming patterns playable with your own chord progressions, Latin Vibes 2 is jam-packed with groovy electric and acoustic strumming loops and sounds that will for sure add good vibrations to your next world music production.

Who's Christian Laffitte?

Christian Laffitte is a French musician and sound designer based in the South of France.

He has been developing sounds for Dream, Arturia, Zoom, Applied Acoustics Systems, M-Audio, and Avid to name a few.

He also composed music for Sony video games trailers and for French TV channels and radio stations.

As a keyboard player with a great interest in synthesis and new technologies, Christian Laffitte has put all his passion for music and sounds into the creation of Wejaam: a free music sequencer for smartphones and tablets.

Works Two Ways

Latin Vibes was created with the Strum GS-2 acoustic and electric guitars. You can obviously play and edit the sounds in Strum GS-2, but you can also access and play them via the free AAS Player included with your Latin Vibes purchase.
